Ebony and Irony

I found it interesting to learn that Michael Jackson had arranged for the rights to the Beatles' catalogue to transfer back to Paul McCartney in the event of his death; for a price, of course.

DP confessional sidenote: about a half hour before he officially died, all the news outlets were reporting only that Jacko had been rushed to the hospital and was in a coma. TMZ was the first to go further and announce his death. But no reputable newspaper or network would support this claim until they were certain. I was bored at home at the time and was hoping TMZ was right! If only so I could enjoy the media circus that would follow. Does that make me a bad person? But, I should mention that when the LA Times said he died, I was very sad. :(

Sexual predator Calvin Klein ads

Remember these? I'd completely forgotten about them. Can't believe these ever aired.

Approaching 40--loving that Top 40!

These two songs are absolute fire:

Lady Gaga's "Poker Face"

Katy Perry's "Hot 'n Cold"

Check 'em out! If anyone needs an mp3 hook-up, lemme know...Oh shit--I hope Jimmy Iovine doesn't read my blog.

ps--shout-out to Xanderson for putting me up on the Gaga!

I hate this guy

I'm not one to denounce complete strangers on my blog, but I'll make an exception today--doesn't that dude on the right look like a punk-ass bitch? I know this isn't helping to increase my love footprint on the earth, but I look at my photos a lot and every time I come across this one I get this visceral feeling from deep within my soul about this guy. I want to hurt him. What is it about him? Is this an irrational hatred?

Perhaps I should just delete the photo from my computer.

Other Directed

I was checking out this foto pool on Flickr called "stick figures in peril." This one's an Italian subway sign warning riders to not get stuck in the doors:I loved this graphic the moment I saw it and was thinking of ways to flip it. Couldn't you see one of these tapping into some sort of youth culture/anti-establishment line of thinking? If I slapped one of these on a T-shirt and got Travis Barker or DJ AM to wear one, I could be in business. I'm of a mind to print these suckers up and get a booth at Lollapalooza and Ozzfest. Who wants to go halfsies and come with me? Need any more convincing? Remember those beyond-wack Why Be Normal?/Subvert the dominant paradigm T-shirts and bumper stickers? If that can take off why can't this?

Bum Kicked Condelesa

Another gift from the spam email gods. The photo I took inside the Puma shop on Market years ago. Not to inflate my own bubble but that's some near perfect lighting. Think I should frame that biotch.
