yeah, you're prob right, kdubs. that photo is on a banner for organic produce, which always seems to look more beat-up. which also explains the choice of model--they prob wanted to emphasize the weathered and earthy look of the day-laborer.
found it in the safeway produce section. they wouldn't have wanted to photograph my hands which you refer to as "nerd hands" due to their freckled and pasty nature.
